Oswald Seneadza is, an Associate Professor of Law, an Academic Moderator, and a Legal Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in teaching and research in Law at KNUST, Kumasi since 2003.
He was the former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law & Head of Dept. of Public Law for 11 years.
He served on the Academic Board, College Board and Faculty Board at KNUST for many years
He represented KNUST on the Academic Board and Appointments & Promotions Committees of Wisconsin International University College and Mount Crest University College, all in Ghana.
Currently, he is the Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of Law of KNUST
Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee of College of Humanities and Social Sciences, KNUST
Member of Education, Capacity Development & Research Committee of CIAMC-Gh.
Fellow of Charted Professional Administrator (FChPA) and Certified Management Consultant (FCMC) conferred 2019 by the Charted Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC-Gh)

He served as Coordinator in training staff on Quality Assurance Strategies in Ghanaian Universities.
He was engaged as Adjunct Professor at GIMPA, UCOMS, UPSA, CIAMC, GTUC (Coventry).
He sat as Honorary Judge at the “All African Intern. Human Rights Moot Court Competitions” held in: South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Benin and Ghana, between 2008 and 2023.
His research activities resulted in Publication of a total of 54 academic books and scholarly articles.
A special honour was bestowed on him by the Synod Committee of Global Evangelical Church in recognition of his selfless and dedicated service to the GEC for the period (2012 – 2022)
The Faculty of Law, KNUST, in 2022 Honoured him for impacting many lives and for rising through the ranks to the high rank of Associate Professor of Law, the first home-grown professor of the Faculty.
He was Honoured with a citation form KNUST Administration on 12th December 2023, for his hard work and immense contribution towards the growth and development of KNUST in his 20-years of meritorious service to the University community and Ghana.
Aside Ghanaian languages, he has proficiency in English, German and Russian languages.
Oswald Seneadza is a Ghanaian married to Vivian Nyante with three children: Julia, Jude and Jessica.

Oswald K. Seneadza’s determination as a pioneer Lecturer has assisted in establishing the faculty of law of KNUST in 2003 through curricular development and academic administration under the foundation Dean, Rev. Prof E.H Ofori-Amankwah. He is the first pioneer Lecturer to attain the rank of Associate Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, KNUST. He Single-handedly drafted the first Law Students’ Guide in 2004. Since the establishment of the Faculty of Law of KNUST, he has been contributing immensely in the education and training of Law Students, with the 17th batch of his law-students called to the Ghana Bar, Gambia Bar and Nigeria Bar. He was the one who first mooted the idea as in 2003 to admit into the Law programme in KNUST, professionals including police prosecutors, university administrators, medical doctors, engineers, religious leaders, MMDCEs and chiefs who needed basic knowledge in law to assist them in their professional careers, and not necessarily becoming practicing Lawyers. Most of his past students have become legal luminaries in Africa. In Ghana, some have become Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, Attorney-Generals and Senior Lecturers. He has designed and taught 15 law-courses including: Road & Transport Engineering Law; Business Law & Ethics; Fiduciary Relations & the Law; Veterinary Jurisprudence & Law; Business Law & Contract Management; the Law of the Sea; Environmental Law & Urban Settlement Planning; Flood Insurance Assessment & Claims Law. Between 2003 and 2021 he has supervised a total of 144 LLB, LLM and PhD Theses of students from different Universities. He continues to serve as Academic Moderator, Representative on Academic Boards and on Appointment & Promotions Committees of affiliate Universities of KNUST. Being one of the pioneer lecturers of the Faculty of Law of KNUST and as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2006 to 2015 and again from 2020 to 2022, he had devoted his skills to student development activities. He was particularly instrumental in the founding of the Law Students Union, Law Faculty Moot Court, the Advocacy Group and Law Christian Fellowship, some of which he continues to serve as Patron or Counsellor. He was personally involved in the coaching and leading Student to “All African Human Rights Moot Court Competitions” organized by University of Pretoria from 2008 to 2014, held in: South Africa (Pretoria & Cape T), Nigeria, Benin, Mozambique and Kenya. In all these competitions his team was adjudged one of the best in Africa. In Benin, in 2010 his team was the runners-up out of 70 Law Faculties that took part in the competition that year. Also, his team to Kenya in 2014 was promoted to represent the West African Region at the “14th Commonwealth Legal Education Moot Court Competition” in Glasgow, Scotland in 2015. He has presented a total of 11 Academic Papers at local and international conferences and workshops. He was a facilitator during the ‘Ghana Police Prosecutors Capacity Building’ training programme in 2009 under the Ministry of Justice. He represented KNUST on several national review committees including: Committee on Human Trafficking Bill, 2004, under LAWA & FIDA; the Final Draft of Gas Master Plan, 2014, under the Ministry of Petroleum. He also represented KNUST at the 2015 World Trainer of Trainees Conference of ‘Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education’ (INQAAHE) held in Chicago, USA after which he converted his experience to the training of staff of KNUST. As a member of KNUST Quality Assurance Committee he has contributed immensely to the innovative effort of the University in teaching, research and collaborations. Since 2003 he continues to impart legal knowledge to an average of 3,000 students annually (including IDL students) throughout Ghana and Nigeria). He has recommended hundreds of students to gain employment and admission to postgraduate studies in Ghana and abroad.
